Problem Statement
• There was a need to enable online payments for customers by exposing billing transactions to the internet.
• The focus was on facilitating on-account payments directly from customers, rather than just billing-related transactions.
Solutioning
• Successfully implemented comprehensive ecommerce platforms for the corporation, encompassing online and Interactive Voice Response (IVR), channels.
• Successfully established strategic partnerships with multiple banks and vendors to facilitate E-commerce services, including negotiating costs and rates. Also, implemented a robust vendor management system to continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of E-commerce vendors and banks.
• Designed and implemented efficient business processes for the E-commerce operations, specifically focusing on the top-up mechanism.
• Conducted thorough analysis and documentation of the end-to-end processes involved in the top-up operations, considering factors such as customer requirements, payment methods, order processing, and fulfilment.
• Collaborated closely with the IT department to develop and implement necessary interfaces and system changes in billing, CRM, and other software applications to support E-commerce transactions. Also, designed and integrated real-time validation and data entry mechanisms into the systems, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of E-commerce transactions.
• The internal set-up for the roll-out of box and voucher deliveries, as well as the associated accounting, invoicing, and management of physical products.
• Performed daily transaction reconciliations and design interfaces that enable automatic accounting and reconciliation of daily and monthly files from other systems and banks.
• Released MIS reports of E-commerce, highlighting cost savings and reinvestment of those savings into customer promotions to enhance customer confidence and facilitate the transition to E-commerce platforms.
• Collaborated with other companies to execute cross-promotions, leveraging their customer base and marketing channels to boost sales for both parties involved. Assisted in E-commerce marketing activities such as Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Social Media Optimization (SMO), and promotional campaigns to enhance online visibility, drive traffic, and increase conversions.
