SYSTEMS & PROCESS SET-UP – A prominent country club chain in India.
Problem Statement
• Specialized guidance was required for accounting, processes, and systems to track costs and budgets during the under-construction and development phase of new clubs.
• Additionally, there was a need for the development of comprehensive systems and processes to ensure efficient financial management and operations for running the club post-completion.
Solutioning
• Designed and implemented processes and a web-based (HTML) system for managing and tracking construction costs. Thereby, developing a user-friendly interface that allowed for efficient data entry and tracking of materials movements, labour attendance, and other relevant cost factors.
• Designed an interface between the newly developed application and the company's accounting software to facilitate seamless data transfer and recording of Capital Work-in-Progress (WIP), invoices, and other relevant data into the accounting system.
• After the system went live, we designed the revenue model and methodology for membership, restaurant, and other revenue avenues for the company. Then proceeded to set up systems, processes, and accounting practices to support these revenue streams.
• Provided hands-on training to staff members and offered guidance and support to ensure accurate accounting and effective business activities.
• Drafted system, business, and process manuals, as well as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the club.
• Conducted continuous tracking and monitoring of the progress of accounting and business processes.
